The GMG Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the daily ! paperwork and data entry relating to HR and PR functions of the GMG Providers.

Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF) is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five county area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatrician's as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling and weight management.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. An Associate degree in Business, Human Resources or related field required; equivalent combination of education and/or work experience (4 yrs.) may be substituted. Must have experience processing a large volume of paperwork in an organized manner; co! mpleting various forms accurately; prioritizing demands on tim! e in a busy office environment, such as is typically attained in approximately two years on ongoing/increasing responsible office experience. Previous experience in a Human Resources Department environment would be preferred. Experience with administering, processing and providing information related to benefits and payroll preferred. General experience in Customer Service. Strong business writing skills. Knowledge of personal computers and various software programs including work processing and spreadsheet development, i.e. Word, Excel programs and applications. Knowledge of Health, Dental, Vision, Life & LTD Insurance Plans concentrating on eligibility requirements and plan coverage descriptions preferred. General skills in computer applications and office equipment (photocopier, Fax machine and typewriter). The ability to prioritize and organize work to function effectively in a busy work environment with continuous interruptions. Excellent written and verbal communicati! on skills in the English language. The ability to manage a high volume of paperwork and process it accurately and appropriately is key to this position. This position requires the ability to pay attention to detail in order to provide accurate records for different aspects of the HR and Payroll responsibilities. Demonstrate a solid understanding of math problem solving. Perform presentations and conduct public speaking in a clear and precise manner. The ability to be a self-starter and work independently is important for this position. Ability to do monthly insurance statement reconciliation. Establish and maintain effective working relationship with internal and external customers. Knowledge of Federal and State Laws. Requires traveling between San Joaquin and Stanislaus County offices.
