Physician services are provided by Gould Medical Group, Inc., serving Central Valley residents for more than 50 years.
The Mammography technologist is responsible for performing all mammographic procedures, i.e. screening and diagnostic mammograms on patients as requested by the referring physician and/or radiologist. Special mammographic procedures (needle localization) and views may be performed, as well as stereotactic breast biopsy. Mammography Quality Control is to be done as required by MQSA, ACR, and State of California. The mammography technologist will keep accurate patient records, using various computer systems. The incumbent ensures effective communication and performs duties in a manner which promotes teamwork. Incumbent will be required to ! perform all routine radiographic examinations such as head, ch! est, extremities and abdominal studies. Effectively instructs the patient during procedures and ensures that patient care is fully supported by expeditiously releasing patients upon completion of their imaging exam. Sets up x-ray room and practices sterile technique to prevent cross-contamination. Secures and returns supplies. The technologist performs various special diagnostic procedures such as GI series, barium and air contrast barium enemas, arthrograms, hysterosalpingogarms, and voiding cystourethrograms in addition to many other diagnostic procedures, which vary in complexity. Utilizes quality control techniques and assists in quality assurance programs. Monitors the equipment for proper operation and records the OC results. Enters and retrieves specific patient data in the computer system.
Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality med! ical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physicians. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, and weight management.
High school graduate. Successful completion of AMA Accredited School of Radiologic Technology. Certified by the State of California and ARRT. Hold a California Fluoroscopy Permit. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Mammography or eligible for the advanced certification within 1 year of employment.. Must be certified by the State of California in mammography. Clinical and practical experience during Radiologic Technology Training is essential. Previous mammography experience is required. Ability to perform examinations of excellent technic! al quality, in an efficient manner. Must possess or develop an in-depth! knowledge of Radiologic instrumentation operation and quality control procedures. Must possess knowledge of or have the ability to learn the Quality Control procedures to be conducted by the technologist. Excellent written and oral communication skills in the English language are required. Knowledge of computers and their applications is required. The ability to be self directed and work with minimal supervision is required. The ability to deal with challenging patient interactions when patients are not well and unable to fully cooperate is required. The ability to pay attention to detail. The ability to manage competing demands on your time with a positive attitude is required. The ability to keep patient information confidential is required. The ability to recognize problems with films that may require immediate intervention from a physician is required. Must ber able to travel in and out of Stanislaus County, and must possess valid California Driver's License and upon r! equest proof of liability insurance.
