KEY REQUIREMENTS

Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.

Must pass pre-employment examination.

Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.

Background and/or Security Investigation required.

English Language Proficiency required.

DUTIES:
Provide primary medical care to Valley veterans at the VA Central CA Health Care System, Fresno Primary Care Clinics. The major functions include health risk assessment, goal setting for prevention, and chronic disease management working with a team to provide high qualitiy patient centered care in a clean and safe environment. BC required in internal medicine. Should be residency trained in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine. Candidates may be eligible for an academic appointment within the UCSF School of Medicine. General internists with experience or interests in working in a busy clinical setting with faculty to teach housestaff, develop programs in geriatric and special former military care programs, evidence-based preventive medicine, research and clinical performance measurements are encouraged to apply.

Relocation expenses will not be reimbursed.

May be eligible to apply for Education Debt Reduction Program based on the availability of funds.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Current, full, active, and unrestricted registration ro practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia = AND = Meet Physician qualification standards . Must be proficient in spoken and written English .

Education: Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. BC required in internal medicine. Should be residency trained in internal medicine. May be eligible for an academic appointment within the UCSF School of Medicine.
