Physician services are provided by Gould Medical Group, Inc., serving Central Valley residents for more than 50 years.
The manager will lead a team of clinical research staff to achieve seamless management and execution of clinical research program from initiation of new studies to patient enrollment and submission of regulatory documents. She/he will also lead strategic planning for clinical research at SGMF in collaboration with Sutter Health Clinical Research leaders. The manager will provide oversight of all SGMF trials and monitor trials to ensure that good clinical practices are being followed. She/he will have oversight responsibility for financial management of all trials. The manager will seek out and engage providers to participate in clinical trials. She/he will also d! evelop and manage relationships with preferred pharmaceutical ! and clinical research organizations. The manager will maintain a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with clinical literature, on-going education on relevant regulations and networking with other clinical research experts. She/he will recruit, hire and coach research staff to ensure the goals of clinical research for the organization are being met or exceeded. The manager will participate in Sutter Health Clinical Research development activities and actively represent SGMF interests. This job contributes to and supports SGMF's goal of being a nationally recognized Medical Foundation.
Sutter Gould Medical Foundation (SGMF)is a non-profit, multi-specialty health care organization affiliated with Sutter Health. Based in Modesto, SGMF provides quality medical care, health education and research activities in a five-county area. SGMF's medical staff includes family practitioners, internists and pediatricians, as well as a range of specialist physici! ans. Services include imaging, nuclear medicine, a health library, health education programs, occupational medicine, diabetes education, nutrition counseling, infertility counseling, weight management.
Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred fields of study include nursing, allied health professional, biology or other science field. Master's degree in healthcare or business or equivalent preferred (e.g. MBA, MPH,MHA,MSN/MN, or MHS). Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience required. Minimum of five (5) years of related experience required. Current clinical research certification (SoCRA or ACRP) required. Must have the ability to function independently. Experience with EPIC a plus. Intermediate Microsoft Word, Powerpoint and Excel skills. Basic Microsoft Outlook skills. Demonstrated Knowledge of clinical research concepts, good clinical practices and regulatory compliance. Proven ability to provide scientific and clinical expertise in all phases of clinical tri! als. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills. Strong management! and leadership skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision. The ability to manage time and workflow (prioritize) to meet deadlines. The ability to facilitate meetings. The ability to be a strong team player. The ability to lead team to a desired state.
