Internist - Physician - (Internal Medicine) Locum Tenens
StartDate: 04/28/2014Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
A primary care physician is needed to provide services at this outpatient clinic while regular staff recruitment efforts are in progress! . The locum tenens assignment will begin immediately upon the completion of credentialing and last until a permanent candidate can be identified. Working hours are from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.. Monday through Friday.
Internal medicine (locum tenens) is a branch of medicine characterized by an emphasis on treating the whole body, rather than specialized focus on one body part of system. Many people use internists as their first point of medical contact, and in this way these physicians function similarly to primary care doctors. Internists are trained to treat and diagnose a wide range of illnesses that affect the entirety of the biological system. When an illness proves to be advancing, exotic or complex, internists will usually refer their patients to specialists.
Required Qualifications
The physicians will need BLS prior to the start date.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with the geriatric population is considered a plus.
